IPIC 2022 Conference Review

2022 2nd International Conference on Image Processing and Intelligent Control(IPIC 2022) was held in Dalian, China, on July 22-24, 2022. The online-merge-offline conference was jointly held by Dalian Jiaotong University, Soochow University, and Zhuhai College of Science and Technology, organized by the School of Computer and Communication Engineering of Dalian Jiaotong University and AEIC Academic Exchange Information Center, and co-organized by PG & DJTU Rail Electrical Technology Research Institute. More than 300 senior experts, research talents, and young scholars from international universities, research institutes, and enterprises attended the meeting to share scientific findings and cutting-edge technologies and discuss academic orientation. 



Prof. Tianmin Guan, Vice President of Dalian Jiaotong University, Prof. Lining Sun, Dean of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Soochow University, and Prof Guokai Xu, Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhuhai College of Science and Technology, delivered opening speeches for the conference.

The conference also invited another 13 experts to give reports, including Prof. Yonghui Li, IEEE Fellow from the University of Sydney; Prof. Jizhong Zhu, IEEE Fellow from the South China University of Technology; Prof. Fusuan Wen, "Distinguished Expert" of the national "1000 Talent Plan" from Zhejiang University; Prof. Tao Zhang from the North China University of Technology; Prof. Qingsheng Zeng from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; Prof. Yuanchang Zhong from Chongqing University; Prof. Shijie Jia from Dalian Jiaotong University; Prof. Yulin Wang from Wuhan University; Prof. Daowen Qiu from Sun Yat-sen University; Prof. Kehua Guo from Central South University; Prof. Guoqiang Zhong from the Ocean University of China; Assoc.Prof.Lisu Yu from Nanchang University; Dr. Santhosh Krishna B V from New Horizon College of Engineering. Several reports were presented, covering the analysis of power system operation based on artificial intelligence and data-driven methods, the analysis of energy economics based on machine learning and behavioral modeling of market entities, the integration of IoT services in fully-scene smart communities, as well as the development of metamaterials for satellite communication. Scholars and experts shared their research findings and highlighted potential directions for future research, which was well received by attendees.
